Aspiring writer Brent Granger has good friends and a great job at an arts magazine in DC, but he's batting zero in the arena of love. When he sees a personal ad from a man that quotes his favorite poet, Brent decides to do something wild and answer.
Enter Cody Bellstrom, easygoing bisexual musician, who is happy to initiate Brent in the ways of gay sex. Brent now has a new problem he realizes he's gay and no one in his life knows it. Cody tires of hiding their relationship, but Brent finds it challenging to come out to family, friends, and especially to Graham. In the end, Brent must confront the truth of where - and with whom - his heart lies.

Grabbed this title via the DreamSpinner Press website but I leave all my reviews on Amazon. Wild and Precious was a quick and enjoyable read. Brent is struggling to figure out why he can't connect with any woman his friends set him up with. He's looking for love and is pretty disheartened when he continues to see his besties get their HEA. He ends up bonding with his boss, Graham, who Brent is attracted to, but the problem is Graham's in a relationship with Hunter (who Brent only physically sees once). LOL, hope you followed that.Scouring match.com one night with his buddy Ari, Brent comes across Cody's profile and he realizes they have a bit in common.
Fast forward, Cody and Brent meet, hookup, and eventually date but Brent is still trying to figure out if he's truly gay and tamper down his attraction to Graham. As I mentioned, quick read, short and sweet. Likable characters. I really enjoyed the way the author continuously incorporated the Mary Oliver poem in the story. Nice touch.

OMG! i LOVED this book!!!
i was a little bit anxious for a bit when i thought there might be a love triangle here but it was absolutely perfect for me. graham and brent are absolutely perfect for each other and so sweet together. they are both literary lovers, artistic in their own way and beautiful.
the writing was really good (i can't wait to read more by ms. elliott) and the secondary characters were perfect!

This quick, one-sitting read was sweet and fun. I enjoyed watching Brent unfold and become comfortable with himself and who he was, and I loved the way the relationship with Graham unfolded slowly.
My only regret is that I wish the author hadn't put any of the story in Cody's point of view. Cody ended up feeling to me like a throwaway. It seemed like he was falling for Brent, and I didn't really feel like there was closure with him. Maybe the author will tell his story some other time.

I wasn’t sure about the different relationships at first. However, I’m happy with how it turned out in the end. I was nervous for Brent when he came out on how everyone would react. I really enjoyed the side characters. They were colorful and fun, and brought a great dimension to the story. I want the story of the guy Brent didn’t have a happy ending with. He deserves a story too. I need it!
